Why am I counting days of my life

To je moj kratek predstavitveni esej v angleščini  v katerem sem si odgovarjal na vprašanje zakaj si štejem dneve na Facebook-u. (esej, ki mi je ušel izpod nadzora):

Because I think its really important to have your own life under control (your mind and body, your  past, present and future). We often don’t realise that time in our lifes is most valuable thing that we have… There are just too many people that don’t do anything meaningful with their lifes. They live their lifes in regular repeating patterns. They are stuck… they are stuck in their mind and body, they often don’t realise how this personal stagnation overflows them and how it makes their life less valuable. They live their life accordingly to the title that they’ve been given. They are not FREE. Such people are everywhere and they can be employed or unemployed. These people do go to schools or they finished some, they might even be teachers or professors at universities or they are politicians. But they’ve given up… They’ve became embodied in their own system and they do things systematically. In that way they don’t lose too much energy, they don’t have to worry for problems around them, they are safe in their own »life bubble«. Only thing they need to worry about is their personal gain or to do everything accordingly to how its expected from them to get a promotion at their workplace or in short: To be good at accepting authority and be humble or some of them just do they work reaching minimal standards and no more. You’ve probably got it by now that I am writing about retroactive, passive or inactive people. Most people become like that because they think there is not much that they can change in the »role/title« that they are put into. But in reality everyone can do something. Everyone can educate themself, become more knowledgable, better at something and everyone can also become better at educating other people. Everyone can get better results from themself. You should ask that from yourself and you should demand from others your right to be educated and don’t stop just there, you should also demand from people that educate to educate better, you should ask for better results from them too and when you are in position and you see that they don’t do that fix the problem, make it work and keep the standars high. We should all invest in our knowledge and we should all invest in our health we should alltogether work towards a smarter and improved society.

I really do not feel that we are doing that enough fast now. We are not allocating enough resources for that cause. We are not managing our country resources responsibly and we are not using law to protect people from injustice. Yes we are in economic recession but that doesn’t mean our brain should be in recession too. We’re not fair to each other and we do not see how helping each other can make us alltogether better off. We are so interdependant that helping each other is a must do. We have scientist that are supported by our country and their research is supported with the money of masses of working people that pay taxes. But we do not apply findings of new researches into system not if monetary returns of it are in question. If those findings can for example help people eat healthier, we can lower the cost for healthcare as there will be less people in need of medical attention but that might not be what insurance companies want.

I am currently afraid of buying fruit from a local store because I don’t know if it is actualy healthy (I don’t know who produced that apples and how because I can’t trust anyone in society with such norms). Do I want to live in such a world? I wouldn’t if I didn’t know that there are so much opportunities to make things better.

Currently people that educate themself percieve others that also educate themself as a threath as there is not enough seats at universities. We are so much used to compete with each other because we are living in such system. But that is wrong. We need to change a lot of things and do them in better way. I believe that we can and we will. Lots of things that have been bad in past are now so much better but thats not enough.

So why am I counting days of my life on “Facebook’s what is on my mind corner”? Because I want to make  every day of my life meaningful. I want to keep on training my body and expanding knowledge. Thats my goal and I have to keep reminding myself of that.

I don’t want to become one of those passive people that shut down their brain and just live their life in repeating patterns – I am really horrified of that. I want to do something with my life I want to do something great and I am prepared to learn and advance myself forever. I learned a lot already from different scienctific areas and I loved to connect pieces of thoughts and  discover new ways to percieve word and getting new ideas. I  never knew who I am but I always knew who I want to become.

I am not afraid of faliure, I don’t think there can even be a possibility to fail as a person if you have goals. I am not competing with anyone or want to be better in everyones eyes I just want to grow make others grow and make things working in advanced optimal way. I like people that think same and have similar goals, I like to call them my friends and they are the only ones that I can respect.
